Addressing the conference, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized the importance of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam's Semiconductor Industry National Strategy, which is to establish Vietnam as a global workforce hub for semiconductors. The government is also developing a plan for the workforce in the semiconductor industry with the goal of training 50,000 engineers by 2030 to meet the industry's demands. Contributing to the shared goal of training semiconductor workforce, Mr Mai The Hung, CBDO VMO America, Head of IC Design Services, VMO Holdings, shared: "VMO aims to increase recruitment demand by 100 employees by 2024 and plans to recruit 1000 chip design personnel by 2030 to contribute to the development of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam."
